VENEZIA INSOLITA
Venezia è una città unica: affascinante, pittoresca, millenaria. Custodisce bellezza e decadenza nella stessa inquadratura. È anche una delle città più fotografate al mondo, visitata da oltre 25 milioni di turisti ogni anno, travolta da trolley, code e selfie.
Eppure, basta uscire dalle direttrici principali per ritrovare un’altra Venezia. Tra calli strette, fondamenta tranquille e campi nascosti vive ancora un ritmo quotidiano, fatto di gesti semplici e quotidianità. In certi angoli sembra di passeggiare in un borgo antico sospeso nel tempo, dove l’acqua disegna il reticolato dei canali e la città si lascia scoprire lentamente, a passo d’uomo.
Il progetto Venezia Insolita nasce da qui: dal desiderio di raccontare ciò che resiste sotto la superficie, lontano dalle cartoline..
Venice Off the Beaten Path
Venice is a unique city: fascinating, picturesque, and ancient. It holds beauty and decay within the same frame. It is also one of the most photographed cities in the world, visited by over 25 million tourists each year, overwhelmed by trolleys, queues, and endless selfies.
And yet, just step away from the main routes and a different Venice appears. Among narrow calli, quiet fondamenta, and hidden campi, a daily rhythm still survives, made of simple gestures and everyday life. In certain corners, it feels like walking through an old village suspended in time, where water traces the grid of canals and the city reveals itself slowly, at a human pace.
The Venezia Insolita project was born from this: the desire to tell the story of what remains beneath the surface, far from the postcards.
