LADAKH

Il Ladakh è una delle regioni abitate più alte del mondo. Un altopiano tra l'India e il Tibet, fatto di montagne, deserto e villaggi sparsi oltre i 3.000 metri, dove tutto si organizza intorno alla quota, al clima e alle stagioni.

Qui la vita prende forme molto diverse. C'è chi cresce nei monasteri arroccati sulla roccia, tra disciplina, studio e comunità. E c'è chi segue le greggi sui pascoli d'alta quota, e scende a valle con l'inverno.

Due mondi distanti, con una radice comune. Entrambi affondano nella tradizione tibetana, ed entrambi vivono di un equilibrio costruito ogni giorno con un ambiente che lascia poco margine

Ladakh is one of the highest inhabited regions in the world. A plateau between India and Tibet, made of mountains, desert and villages scattered above 3,000 metres, where everything is organised around altitude, climate and the seasons.

Here life takes very different forms. Some grow up in the monasteries perched on the rock, among discipline, study and community. Others follow the flocks across the high-altitude pastures, and come down to the valley with winter.

Two distant worlds, with a common root. Both are grounded in the Tibetan tradition, and both live by a balance built day after day with an environment that leaves little margin.
